Corpus Christi (KIII News) — Corpus Christi Independent School District police arrested a teenager Thursday afternoon across the street from Moody High School who reportedly had a handgun in his possession.

Campus police said when they approached the man he made an inappropriate gesture toward them which led to the young man being detained and searched.

During the search, officers found the handgun and the man was booked into the County Jail.

The Moody principal Thursday night is urging parents and students to report anything unusual to a school official or police officer.
