30-year old Christopher Floyd pleaded not guilty Wednesday after he was accused of driving drunk and killing two people back in 2014.
Prosecutors say Floyd was driving his truck erratically when he lost control and killed Teresa Moody and Faye Moser just off Farm-to-Market Road 624. In a civil lawsuit a jury, last week, found that Floyd's negligence did "proximately cause the deaths" of Moody and Moser but did not find him guilty of intoxication manslaughter.
According to the Caller Times, the jury awarded more than 30-million dollars to the victims' families.
In his current case, Floyd faces two counts of intoxication manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide. He is currently out on bond.
