CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 received his sentence Thursday at the Nieces County Courthouse.
Antonio Trevino was found guilty Wednesday in the 214th District Court, according to the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office Facebook page. Punishment phase of the trial began Thursday morning and at around noon, Trevino was sentenced to 48 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
“Our office lauds the extraordinary efforts of ADA Crystal Mathis and ADA Elizabeth Tagle in securing justice for the victim and community,” a post stated Thursday following Trevino’s sentencing.
