A man is in his mid-twenties is recovering from an overnight shooting that happened early Saturday morning just after 5:30 a.m.
Police were called out to the Wells Fargo Bank in downtown Corpus Christi near Antelope and Carancahua St. after the man was shot in what officers say appears to be an attempted robbery. Investigators report a 9mm handgun was recovered across the street near the scene, however no arrest have been made.
The victim was taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline with non-life-threatening injuries and is said to be in stable condition. If you have any information that could lead to an arrest call, 361-886-2600.
