Nature preserve provides childhood experience for kids going through hardships

The Oso Bay Wetlands Nature Preserve offered more than a learning experience

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) — CASA volunteers and their children took over the Oso Bay Wetlands Nature Preserve for a day filled with learning, enjoyment and relaxation.

On Saturday, CASA of the Coastal Bend spent the morning at Oso Bay Learning Center for a presentation by nature conservation experts. It was also a chance for advocates to bond with their child and check in with them.

April Child Abuse Prevention Month and for the past couple of weeks, CASA has held various events to raise awareness on prevalence and how the community can help children who have experienced abuse.
