New covered pavilion unveiled, blessed at Mother Teresa Shelter

Reverend Bishop Edmond Carmody was also present Tuesday morning to bless the new addition.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Mother Teresa Shelter has reopened for those in need and they are even more prepared to fight off harsh weather after constriction of a new covered pavilion was completed Tuesday.

The new covered pavilion, which was built over the existing open courtyard, will give shelter to those in need during times of extreme heat or rain. Shelter officials said it is important to them to take care of all of the people who walk into their facility, regardless of who they are or where they come from.

Reverend Bishop Edmond Carmody was also present Tuesday morning to bless the new addition.
