CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Preparations were underway Thursday for a Corpus Christi running tradition -- Beach to Bay.
Beach to Bay is a six-leg race that has grown into one of the largest relay marathons in the U.S. The Beach to Bay marathon has drawn in runners from across the nation.
The run starts near Bob Hal Pier and ends at McCaughan park in downtown Corpus Christi. Teams are made up of six people, but solo runners can participate through the entire race.
Beach to Bay honors the men and women serving in our U.S. military. The marathon starts at 7 a.m. Saturday.
