This year's Coastal Bend Day of Giving supports 50 area nonprofits on the forefront of assisting those in need, and the Corpus Christi Hope House, Inc. is one of them.
From the Corpus Christi Hope House, Inc.:
"Corpus Christi Hope House, Inc. was founded in 1986 when community members united and formed a non-profit charitable organization to provide shelter, support and assistance for women who were homeless and faced with a crisis pregnancy situation.
Hope House provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, support, life-skills training, food, clothing, counseling, educational and medical assistance to women, their dependent children and newborn babies who seek an escape from homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, poverty or a crisis pregnancy situation. Our ministry empowers our clients by giving them the opportunity to accept responsibility, to care for their children, further their education, obtain employment, permanent housing and become productive, self-sufficient members of our community through the support of our staff, benefactors and volunteers. Last year, we served 3,839 clients."
