BISHOP, Texas — A man in Bishop was attacked by a swarm of bees Thursday evening after he tried to rescue a man from a car accident in the 200 block of South Fir Avenue by Bishop Elementary School.
According to Bishop police chief, the man was working in the sun all day and was driving home for the day and lost control and hit a house. A passerby went to try and rescue the man but was attacked by a swarm of bees.
The man was taken to Christus Spohn Kleberg to be treated for dehydration.
The Bishop Fire Department was called to the scene to contain the bees.
The house is believed to be an office to the Bishop Consolidated Independent School District.
Bishop police are currently investigating the case.
