Corpus Christi (Kiii News) — A homeless man is dead Thursday morning about being involved in a hit and run accident that occurred on SPID and Flour Bluff Drive.

According to detectives, it is not been determined if 52-year-old Gary Owen died in the accident by they believe that was the cause.

Witnesses on the scene were questioned while crews cleaned up the area.

Police are still actively searching for the suspect involved in Owen's death.

If the driver is convicted, they could face second-degree felony charges and possibly 20-years in prison.
