Corpus Christi (KIII News) — A man was sent to the hospital Monday night after being hit by a car at the intersection of Leopard Drive and NPID.

According to officers when they arrived on the scene, the victim was believed to be in bad shape. After looking closely at the victim, officers realized there were not any critical injuries.

Police said the man was wearing dark camouflage clothing while trying to cross the street when the driver of the car hit him.

The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries. The driver did not see the man and will not be cited.

Monday's accident is the second pedestrian accident in a week where people were wearing dark clothing.

Residents need to be careful when walking around at night, and they should try and wear some reflective clothing or carry around a flashlight.
