CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An Uber driver's vehicle was stolen after he and a passenger were assaulted this weekend. Corpus Christi police recovered the vehicle but the suspect is still on the loose.

It was just after 2 a.m. Saturday when the Uber driver was dropping a man off at a home on Daytona Drive. The driver told police that another man approached the vehicle with a gun and proceeded to steal both the driver and passenger's wallets, as well as the Uber driver's car.

Thankfully, no one was injured.

Police are still searching for the suspect, who was described as a Hispanic male about 18 years old. If you have any information about this crime, please call police at 361-886-2600.
