Prayer service helps those fighting holiday blues

The season of Thanksgiving leading to Christmas can be challenging for millions of Americans due to different circumstances.

Many experience depression during this time of year, it's known as the holiday blues.

That's why All Saints Episcopal Church held a prayer service Sunday night for those wanting to heal and looking for comfort.

The service also had two psychotherapists on hand in case anyone wanted to talk.

Rev. Jonathan Wickham with the church said, "Into the holidays we bring all of our hopes and expectations. And often we bring all of our memories and all of our thoughts particularly about loved ones, losses, and maybe some of those regrets that we might have, maybe fractured relationships of our lives."

Organizers said loneliness is the greatest struggle when dealing with grief.

They added if you know anyone who is going through it to check up on them and make sure they're doing ok.
