CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) — About 100 community leaders, students and Coastal Bend residents gathered Thursday at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi to hear State Rep. Todd Hunter talk about his newest priority in state government -- transparency.
Hunter said the Texas government needs to be more open and that he plans to push for that during the next legislative session.
Those who attended the event were also encouraged to share their ideas on how tax dollars are spent and what should be done to give everyone more access to public information.
