TAMUCC hosts ribbon cutting ceremony for new Tidal Hall

The building features nine teaching labs and 34 research labs to support the University's mission to become a major research driven college.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Officials at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi celebrated the completion of their newest building Friday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the University's new Tidal Hall, a 60,000 square foot building that will house the campus' fastest growing programs including biomedical, genetics, and life sciences.

The building features nine teaching labs and 34 research labs to support the University's mission to become a major research driven college.

More than 300 community members joined TAMUCC President Dr. Kelly Quintanilla for the special ceremony.

Funding for the new building was provided by the legislature in 2016.
