CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Cole Park was shut down Monday as researchers with Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and NASA took to the skies.
It was the third day of flight testing for teams with the University's Lone Star Center. The testing is part of a joint project between the University and NASA.
Researchers said because of our urban area, Corpus Christi was chosen as one of two sites for unmanned aircraft systems test flights. A traffic management study was conducted Monday, and researchers said it will help NASA improve the safety of drone technology.
