Texas A&M University-Kingsville online programs receive national recognition

The communications certificate portion of the MBA program ranked second in the top 15 in the nation by MBA Central.

KINGSVILLE, Texas — Two programs at Texas A&M University-Kingsville have received national recognition.

The online industrial engineering master's program at TAMUK was ranked 66th in the nation in the Best Online Engineering category by U.S. News and World Report. In 2018, the engineering program ranked between 72 and 94.

"About 30-percent of our students receive support from the company to finish this degree," Associate Professor Hua Li said. "I know several students being promoted to a manager position after receiving a degree from our program."

According to Li, TAMUK ranks third in the state behind College Station and Texas Tech for their online engineering program.

Another program to receive a high national ranking is TAMUK's online MBA business administration program. The communications certificate portion of the MBA program ranked second in the top 15 in the nation by MBA Central.

The College of Business Administration offers an online master class with a certificate in collaboration and team dynamics. The online MBA program provides other certificates such as Business Analytics, Health Informatics, Energy Finance and Logistics,  and Managing People in the Global Enterprise.
