Therapy dogs visit Del Mar College East Campus students

College can be ruff for students, especially during midterms.

Corpus Christi (KIII News) — College can be rough for students, especially during midterms.

Officials at Del Mar College East Campus brought in therapy dogs from Paws Up Inc to help students relieve some stress as they get ready for mid-term exams.

Wednesday's event is called Paws and Relax, and the college has been doing it every semester.

"I get to come out of class and hang out with dogs that are like amazing," student Jessie Gomez said.

"So the student will line up, they ask about the dogs and when they are coming back from the beginning of the semester, and its something students look forward to, and we look forward too. its' a lot of fun with the dogs," counselor Rita Hernandez said.

On Wednesday the dogs will head to Del Mar College's West Campus off of Greenwood.
