Third graders take over City Council to debate state of city splash pads

The students were there to debate the City of Corpus Christi's splash pads.

Corpus Christi (KIII News) — It is never too early to let children know that their voices matter, and on Thursday some Windsor Park Elementary School third-graders visited City Hall to learn that.

The students were there to debate the state of the City of Corpus Christi's splash pads.

They conducted their own City Council debate in council chambers, each student playing a different role. There were council members, a mayor, a city manager, and even concerned residents.

The students recently held their election to decide who would play each part.
