Two Corpus Christi parks will be closed for drone testing

The goal of the tests is to make sure the drones can fly safe in big cities whether it's to deliver goods or transport people.

The Water Garden and Cole Park will be temporarily closed as researchers at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi conduct test flights for a traffic management study that will ultimately help NASA improve drone technology.

The closures will happen from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, July 26, at the Water Garden, and from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday, July 29, at Cole Park.
