The Texas Department of Transportation began a $50 million project Monday to improve a 15-mile section of Highway 358.
City crews will begin working along Airline toward North Ayers Street at 9 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. the following morning. During the work, closures of east and westbound lanes will happen.
TxDOT representatives said the project would span from north of Leopard Street to east of Flour Bluff Drive.
The goal of the project is to reduce traffic backups.
