BEEVILLE, Texas — The City of Beeville Public Water System issued an alert to customers Friday notifying that they are under a water boil advisory until further notice.

According to the City of Beeville, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required them to issue the advisory after they failed to maintain adequate chlorine residuals in the water system.

Residents are advised to boil all water and let it cool prior to drinking it, cooking with it, washing their hands and face, etc. The water should be brought to a vigorous boil for two minutes.

In the meantime, individuals are advised to purchase bottled water or obtain it from other sources.

Officials said they will notify customers as soon as the water boil advisory is lifted. Stay with 3News for the latest.
