Male students at Texas A&M University-Kingsville got a taste Wednesday of what women have to deal with everyday -- walking in high heels.
It was an event called Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, which aims at showing support for the cause of ending gender violence and sexual assault.
"It's difficult just standing here in high heels, honestly," TAMUK sophomore Steven Garza said. "My feet hurt, and I don't know how I'm going to walk a mile, honestly."
"It actually is pretty difficult," TAMUK sophomore Adrian Alaniz said. "I'm trying to keep my balance right now, but it's fun. It's for a good cause, so I don't mind doing it."
Dozens of male students took part in the event. One student fell in the grass, but got right back up, while others stumbled a bit and had to take off the heels halfway through the walk.
