CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — West Oso Elementary School is in need of repairs after a vehicle crashed into a building on campus late Thursday night.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old male crashed into the school on Cliff Maus and Old Brownsville Road.

The man was taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital to be checked out.

Investigators said the school district may have the option to file for civil restitution for all the damage caused. Corpus Christi Police Department traffic investigators are trying to determine what led to the accident.
