CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - The Oil Belt All-Stars finally came home to a rainy, but rousing welcome Sunday after placing third in the Junior League World Series in Taylor, MI over the weekend.

The 14 and 15 year olds were on the road for three weeks after a regional trip to Albuquerque, NM before heading to Michigan. The Oil Belt team lost in the U.S. Championship game to Rockledge, FL, but turned around and beat Mexico in the third place game. Florida went on to win the Junior League World Series by beating Aruba the next day.

The All-Stars rode up in a stretch Cadillac Escalade with a police escort, and were welcomed by hundreds of their fans. The boys will be headed to Calallen and T-M High Schools.
