CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A shooting in Corpus Christi overnight has left a man dead. Corpus Christi police say the shooting happened just after midnight outside the One Stop Market on Ayers Street near Mansheim Blvd. According to officers, the 28 year old victim got into a disturbance with the suspect. He was reportedly driving away in a white truck when the suspect fired several shots into the vehicle.
The man was shot in the head and later died at the hospital from his injuries. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
Officers said they talked to several witnesses. Police are currently searching for the gunman. The name of the victim has yet to be released to the public.
