Corpus Christi Detectives are searching for a person who shot a teen and one man. The shooting happened Thursday night around 9:45 on Shely Street near the H-E-B Tennis Center. Police say a 16-year-old was shot in the groin and a 24-year-old in the right leg. Both victims were transported to Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, where doctors say the two are expected to be okay. Detectives say they do not have a motive or know what events lead to the shooting.

"We had some witnesses," said Lieutenant Tim Brown with the Corpus Christi Police Department. "Those witnesses could not identify someone that we picked up that matched the physical description, so we were forced to let that guy go."

Lieutenant Brown says multiple witnesses describe the shooter as a heavy-set Hispanic man wearing a white shirt and red shorts. Call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS if you have any information that could help detectives.
