REFUGIO (Kiii Sports) - The party was on in Bobcat nation Thursday as the town of Refugio celebrated the team's first state title in 29 years.

The game might have been three weeks ago, but you wouldn't know it from the ongoing celebration at the town square. Coach Jason Herring said the plan for the Bobcats' state championship rings is to have 41 diamonds, one for each victory from 7th grade through varsity.

Refugio has enough talent coming back including 2A Offensive Player of the Year and Championship Game Co-MVP Travis Quintanilla (soph. QB) and stud junior running back Draigon Silvas that the 'Cats could make a run at a repeat next season.
