CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii Sports) - Just three games into the season, the Carroll Tigers could well be a candidate for most improved high school team in the Coastal Bend.

After posting a 1-9 ledger in 2012, the Tigers have shown a much-improved offense this year. Carroll lost to Class 4A heavyweights Port Lavaca and Flour Bluff by a combined 7 points to start the season before beating Gregory-Portland 38-14 last week in the Battle of the Bridge.

But their rugged pre-district schedule gets even more challenging on Friday night as the Tigers travel to play unbeaten, state-ranked Calallen.
