Thirty West Oso High School varsity football players spent their Saturday morning working on yards in their community. This was all part of a character and leadership building initiative supported by the high school's football coaches.
The teens were hard at work Saturday morning picking up trash, edging and mowing yards.
All of this to help two local elderly families who have a hard time doing the yard work themselves.
Despite the tough task, the football players say they were happy to lend a hand. The team will resume practices on Monday.
They will have their first game August the 29th.
