A witness description of a man pulling a red wagon filled with stolen property led police to a suspected home burglar just after 11 a.m. Monday.

Corpus Christi police responded to a burglary at a home in the 2800 block of Sarita Street, where the homeowner said the suspect had entered the home by removing an air conditioning window unit. Once inside, the suspect took electronics, clothing and the window unit.

Witnesses told police they had seen a man walking away from the home pulling a red wagon with the stolen property in it. Police recognized the person they were describing as 21-year old Sergio Franco and made contact with him in the 2800 block of Niagara Street.

Franco was arrested and charged with burglary of a habitation. He was additionally charged with resisting arrest after he tried to get away from police while being escorted to the police unit.

The stolen property was returned to the victim.
