CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Hooks have gotten a big boost from Beer recently, former first round pick Seth Beer that is.
Beer is only one year removed from his junior year at Clemson and has already climbed up through the Astros' ranks to Double-A Corpus Christi. He's been lighting it up since coming to the Hooks, hitting .328 with two homeruns and 16 RBI in 17 games. The former Tiger is averaging just under one RBI per game over the season.
We caught up with Beer just a day after the start of the 2019 major league draft to talk about his quick rise over the last year.
