Corpus Christi Hooks rank in Top 25 in MiLB merchandise sales

In 2018 Minor League Baseball reported merchandise sales of nearly $74 million.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Minor League Baseball announced Wednesday its list of Top 25 teams in licensed merchandise sales for 2018 which featured Corpus Christi Hooks. 

The Top 25 list included Albuquerque Isotopes, Charleston RiverDogs, Charlotte Knights , Columbia Fireflies , Columbus Clippers, Corpus Christi Hooks, Durham Bulls, El Paso Chihuahuas , Fort Wayne TinCaps, Gwinnett Stripers, Hartford Yard Goats, Indianapolis Indians, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Nashville Sounds, Pawtucket Red Sox, Portland Sea Dogs, Richmond Flying Squirrels, Rochester Red Wings, Sacramento River Cats, Salt Lake Bees, San Antonio Missions, Tacoma Rainiers, Toledo Mud Hens and Trenton Thunder.

The Corpus Christi Hooks, Charleston RiverDogs, Gwinnett Stripers, Pawtucket Red Sox, Richmond Flying Squirrels, and San Antonio Missions were new additions to the 2018 list after a hiatus in 2017.

In 2018 Minor League Baseball reported merchandise sales of nearly $74 million.

Teams on the top 25 list represented 20 different Major League organizations.

"Minor League Baseball team names and logos continue to grow in popularity each year. Our teams work hard to promote their brands and solidify MiLB identities in the conversation among the most enjoyed brands in professional sports," said Brian Earle, Minor League Baseball's head of licensing and consumer products. "To have their names and logos recognized and admired by fans locally, nationally and, in some cases, globally, speaks to the tremendous amount of effort and attention our teams dedicate to creating, building and promoting their brands."
