The Veterans Memorial Eagles have enjoyed huge success on the football field the last two years, and Thursday was a testament to that with four football players signing on to play college ball.
Among them was former district offensive player of the year David Soto, who committed to play for the Division-I Lamar Cardinals in Beaumont.
There were some guys staying close to home as well with Cedric Evans and Romario Perez both committing to play for Daren Wilkinson and Texas A&M-Kingsville.
Davis Horne is headed to home of the reigning Division-III national champions Mary Hardin-Baylor up in Belton, Texas.
