CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Miller versus Rockport-Fulton varsity football game scheduled for September 4 has been postponed to Sept. 18.
According to Miller's Head Coach Justen Evans, a player from within Rockport has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Aransas Pass played Rockport last week. AP Head Coach Ryan Knostman said that some of their players did have contact with the Rockport player, but it was for less time than what the Center for Disease and Control and Prevention considers "close contact. Knostman said their parents have been notified,but for now they aren't being required to self-quarantine.
Rockport-Fulton will also be canceling their game against Tuloso-Midway next week. As a result of the cancellation, T-M will now play Falfurrias Friday, September 11 at 7:30 p.m.
