- The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi men's basketball program managed to surmount a resilient Incarnate Word squad in Saturday's Homecoming matchup, defeating the Cardinals by a final 70-61 mark.
- The Islanders improve to 10-13 overall and 5-5 in Southland Conference action while the Cardinals fall to 6-17 overall and 2-8 in league play.
- Junior Kareem South composed another brilliant performance, leading the team with 25 points along with two assists and one steal. The guard completed three and-one plays, including one after knocking down a three-pointer.
