CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Islanders' offense went cold in the second half in a 64-58 loss to the Southeastern Louisiana Lions Wednesday night at the Dugan Wellness Center.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (9-13, 4-5) carried a two-point lead at the half, but couldn't get the points on the board after the break in front of a good home crowd. The Islanders were playing a rare home game on campus.
The Islanders had a chance to surpass the Lions (10-13, 6-4) in the Southland Conference standings, as Southeastern Louisiana entered the night just a half game ahead of A&M-CC.
Now the Islanders will look to snap their three-game losing streak this Saturday with a Homecoming battle against rival Incarnate Word.
