CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Texas A&M-Corpus Christi won its final three games of the regular season, and the Islanders needed every one of them to clinch their spot in the Southland Conference Tournament on the final day Saturday.
TAMU-CC will face seventh-seeded Central Arkansas in the opener up in Katy, Texas Wednesday at 7:30 PM. The game can be seen on ESPN+. The winner of that game will face three-seeded Southeastern Louisiana Thursday night.
In other news, junior guard Kareem South was named third-team all-Southland. South averaged a team-high 14.1 points per game this season and also lead the way in steals with 40 on the year.
