Boise State vs. BYU Game Tracker: Broncos lose 51-17 to BYU

The Broncos had revenge on their minds but BYU showed why they're top ten. Don't miss a beat with our live blog.

BOISE, Idaho — If everyone's heart hasn't gone through enough stress this week, the No. 21 Boise State Broncos hosted No. 9 BYU (7-0), the highest-ranked opponent to ever play on The Blue, on Friday night.

Unfortunately, Bronco Nation will likely only feel the heartbreak of losing and not heart-pounding victory after the Cougars' defense took advantaged of the Broncos' depleted quarterback depth and kept Boise State's offense from keeping the game close. Scroll down to see the latest score with KTVB's Game Tracker, warning for Bronco Nation, it isn't pretty.

Boise State entered Friday's rivalry game 2-0, with wins over San Jose State and Air Force.

BYU was 7-0, with their best win was against 4-2 Troy in week two. The Cougars beat the Trojans 48-7. In total, BYU's opponents this season are a combined 20-27. But the Cougars showed why they are among the top ten teams in the country with a solid showing on both sides of the ball.

Get caught up with all of the highlights and updates from the game with KTVB's Game Tracker, which features a live scoreboard and a live blog with the latest tweets from KTVB's Jay Tust and Will Hall and the official Boise State football Twitter account.

The Broncos lost to BYU 28-25 on the road last season. The Cougars spoiled Boise State's undefeated season hopes, with the loss being the Broncos' sole regular-season blemish in 2019.

Following the end of the game, KTVB.COM will live stream the Broncos' post-game press conference. Coach Bryan Harsin and several Boise State players will discuss how the Broncos fared against the Cougars.
