No injuries in major accident on Harbor Bridge

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. when a black SUV flipped upside down, forcing police to shutdown the right two lanes of the highway as they worked to clear the scene.

CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) — Corpus Christi police were called to the scene of a major accident Monday evening on the northbound side of the Harbor Bridge heading toward Portland.

The crash happened just after 5 p.m. when a black SUV flipped upside down, forcing police to shutdown the right two lanes of the highway as they worked to clear the scene.

Traffic was backed up for miles with many drivers waiting upwards of 40 minutes just to make it across the bridge. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, but luckily no one was injured.
