TODAY: Rain will exit the area by 5AM as we await the arrival of a cold front. This morning, temperatures will begin in the mid to low 60s and warm into the 70s by noon. The front moves in around noon or a little before. Once it passes, winds will become strong from the northwest; sustained between 25 and 35 mph - gusting to between 40 and 50 mph. Skies will become sunny with temperatures near 70 this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Colder air filters in. Overnight lows in the mid to upper 40s. Winds will persist from the NW at 20-30 mph. Mainly clear skies.

LOOKING AHEAD: The low pressure system generating the the strong winds will move slowly into Louisiana. That position will still be close enough to us to continue gusty 20-30 mph winds on Friday. Temperatures top out in the mid to low 60s with sunshine. Winds weaken into the weekend with highs in the mid 60s Saturday and near 70 on Sunday under sunny to partly cloudy skies. It'll be a nice weekend. Next shot at rain doesn't arrive until next WED/THUR.
