TODAY: Chilly morning, with some areas freezing in the Coastal Bend. Sunny skies prevail today, but temperatures will remain on the cool side. Highs top out in the middle 50s. Less wind, at 10-15 mph from the northwest

TONIGHT: The three c's - clear, calm, and cold. With calm winds, clear skies, and very low humidity in place, optimum radiational cooling will occur. Temperatures will fall into the middle 30s, just above freezing overnight.

LOOKING AHEAD: Mainly sunny with a gradual warming trend into the weekend. Could be back into the 70s by Friday, for sure Saturday. Look for increasing cloud coverage Saturday with rain chances going up on Sunday, as a cold front approaches the area. The cold front moves in Sunday evening, dropping highs into the mid 60s on Monday as rain chances continue. This front will not be as strong.
