Hot and humid with isolated rain, Thursday

A tropical wave paralleling the MX/TX Gulf Coasts will lead to daily isolated rains through the weekend.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — TODAY: Temperatures begin near 80 this morning and warm into the middle 90s this afternoon.  Heat Index around 106.  An approaching tropical wave, moving south to north along the MX/TX coasts will begin to increase moisture content of the atmosphere.  This will lead to isolated showers along the sea-breeze front.  Otherwise, partly cloudy skies and a southeast breeze at 7-17 mph.

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, warm, and humid.  Overnight lows in the upper 70s and a southeast breeze at 6-12 mph.

LOOKING AHEAD: Daily chances for isolated showers will continue into the weekend as the tropical wave passes us by and moves into Louisiana.  Because of our placement in proximity to the tropical wave, rain chances will not get any better than 'isolated', with the bulk of the more meaningful rains moving into Louisiana.  Hot and humid weather with less of a chance for rain into next week.
