Chi Chi DeVayne, a competitor on two seasons of "RuPaul's Drag Race," has died at the age of 34. The cause of death was not immediately reported.
DeVayne, whose given name was Zavion Davenport, told Instagram followers last week she was back in the hospital.
The family also confirmed DeVayne's death on the official account Thursday night, saying final words to family and fans were "never give up."
Entertainment Weekly reports DeVayne was previously hospitalized in July with high blood pressure and suspected kidney failure. She was later discharged.
DeVayne competed on Season 8 of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and finished fourth. She was invited back for the "All-Stars" spinoff, according to EW.
"I am so grateful that we got to experience her kind and beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. May her generous and loving spirit shine down on us all," RuPaul tweeted.
