Park rangers with the Padre Island National Seashore teamed up Friday morning with the Texas State Aquarium to release 12 rehabilitated green sea turtles into the ocean.

The turtles were rescued during the last cold-stunning event earlier this year.

Students with Vanderbilt University who were in Corpus Christi for Alternative Spring Break had the chance to watch the turtle release along with residents in the community.
