The Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in Alice involving a woman in possession of illegal drugs while holding a child.
Officers made a traffic stop at Encino and MLK Drive in Alice and found 25-year-old Jo Vanna Sanchez holding a child in the passenger's seat. She was not wearing a seat belt.
Upon further investigation, police discovered 60 ounces of marijuana, 22 grams of cocaine and 22 grams of what police believed to be Hydrocodone pills in Sanchez' pockets.
Sanchez was arrested with multiple drug charges along with endangerment of a child.
