CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Faith Colbert joined the 3News team in June 2023 as a multiskilled journalist and weekend meteorologist. She is making station history as the first African-American meteorologist here at 3News.
A Texas native, Faith grew up in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas. She attended school at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology, as well as a minor in Multimedia Journalism in December of 2022. #aggiepride
In her time there, she was on the Cool Mist dance team and interned with WNCN in Raleigh, North Carolina; Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia; and Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania.
Her favorite type of weather is sunny and cool, perfect for dancing (not in the rain), which is likely where you'll find her outside of the news studio!
Her favorite meteorology topics are tornadoes, tsunamis, and blizzards.
She also enjoys spending time with her family and 1-year-old son, Dontae who is already enjoying the Coastal Bend.
