CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city of Beeville reported in a press release that an elderly man has died of injuries he received from a car that struck him at the intersection of Alta Vista Street and West Crockett Street in Beeville Wednesday afternoon.
The 75-year-old man was crossing South Alta Vista Street at the intersection when a car struck him as it turned right onto Alta Vista. The man was knocked across the car's hood before he landed in the road.
EMS drove the man to Spohn Hospital in Beeville before he was flown to Spohn Hospital Shoreline in Corpus Christi where doctors pronounced him dead.
The driver of the car cooperated with police and gave them his statement of the accident.
