Corpus Christi police are trying to figure out Monday night why somebody would leave a pile of dead dogs under a tree near Clarkwood.
Police discovered seven dogs under a tree around 8:30 a.m and the animals had no collars or tags.
Detectives hope nearby surveillance cameras could help with the investigation.
