CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Del Mar College Heritage Campus hosted its 8th annual Spooktacular Mental Health and Resource Fair.
Students were able to get free flu shots and health screenings, and the event also offered free food and giveaways.
The event is held so students can learn which health resources are offered by the school and the community.
"We are just so thankful that we are able to provide these services,” said director of counseling Jessica Edwards. “So the counseling center does provide free and confidential services to Del Mar students. And so, you know, we really encourage them to utilize our resources, even if they're feeling overwhelmed with classes, and life work.”
The college’s next big mental health-specific event for students will be in November, and it help them pause and relax before finals.
